Helping Advanced increase staff engagement and satisfaction

The ask

Advanced is the UK’s third largest provider of business software and services. They were sharing a large office space where the canteen had been closed indefinitely, meaning they only had a small kitchenette as a breakroom space. They came to us with a brief to “design a space that would make their staff happier, foster engagement and drive productivity”.

The solution

Knowing that happy staff are productive staff our consultancy team held initial workshops with Advanced team to gauge their morale levels. The employees wanted a warm welcoming space with great coffee and somewhere they could happily switch off and enjoy a cuppa, lunch, or have a chat. So we designed and created a complete room solution including new kitchen, furniture, flooring, lighting, recycling zone, bean to cup coffee and snack offering.

The result

The result was a solution that the client felt really gave them a wow factor. It included a breakfast bar with USB charging points and large planters, as greenery is proven to significantly increase workplace satisfaction in employees. The overall project was a big undertaking for the client, so everything had to planned with the absolute precision to ensure that the project was delivered on time and on budget. And most importantly their teams loved it – increasing happiness levels in the process.
